Join PSNH on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 7:00 PM (EST) on Zoom for a workshop presented by Shanna Melton. This workshop will explore the manifestation of water in our lives — the many ways it activates suffering, healing and calm and the stories we have where water is at the center.

About Shanna's workshops: The Writer’s Group is a space for people who love words to gather and create new work. The mission is to use prompts and other creative tools to motivate the creative process. It also creates a space to share and get a reaction from other writers who can advise us on how to enhance our work. This is not an open mic or showcase. This is a place to develop our writing.

About Shanna: Poet, Painter and Art Educator, Shanna T. Melton, is the author of Unraveling My Thoughts (2016) and founder of The Writer’s Group with Shanna T. Melton, one of the most diverse writing groups in Connecticut. Her recent exhibition of paintings, Her Dragons Fly, braid ancestral lineage, African textiles, and Black history with dazzling color and visual storytelling. Honored as a Connecticut Art Hero by the CT Office of the Arts (2018) and awarded the Arts and Cultural Empowerment Award by the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, Shanna is also an arts consultant and teaching artist who integrates social justice and community engagement in the creative workshops, performances, and events that she curates.
