We hope you were able to connect with friends within the poetry community during the month of April for National Poetry Month! In April our highlights focused on the many events happening throughout New Hampshire and beyond. In May we return our focus to your successes. If there is something you would like us to spotlight on psnh.org in May, please use this Member Spotlight contact form to let us know about your successes, for example:

AND...please do keep sending info on poetry events happening online or in the greater New Hampshire/New England area. Please use the Community Events form. You can also email info@psnh.org.

Sunday, May 7, 3:00-5:00PM (ET)- LIVE! - Community Reading of Charles Simic Poems at the Hopkinton Town Library, in Contoocook, NH. For directions visit, www.HopkintonTownLibrary.org. There are still a few open slots for those who would like to share their favorite Simic poem. Details at psnh.org.

PS - You could be the lucky raffle winner of a PSNH tote bag and copy of the PSNH publication, The Other side of Sorrow: Poets Speak Out about Conflict, War and Peace.

Tuesday, May 9 @ 7:00PM (ET) - Online: Poet and educator Brian Evans-Jones will explore the possibilities of mirrors in our lives and poems. Mirrors and poems have much in common, being both human-made objects that can show us truths about ourselves and the world, or let us look at things slantwise—maybe even into our blind spots. They invite us to explore who we are, what it means to be a person, and how we perceive. But how much should we trust what we see in them? Visit psnh.org for more details and to RSVP for Zoom.

We look forward to hearing from you!
