On Tuesday, December 5  poet Brian Evans-Jones will be a featured reader. You may know Brian from his active participation in poetic events in N.H. as well as from his online newsletter, and workshops
Brian’s reading will be followed by an Open Mic so please bring a poem or two.

Brian Evans-Jones is a poet and teacher from Britain who now lives in Sharon, NH. He was Poet Laureate of Hampshire, England (i.e. Old Hampshire!), before moving to America in 2014 to do his MFA at UNH. He won the Maureen Egan award from Poets & Writers in 2017, and his poems have been published in journals on both sides of the Atlantic, including The Inflectionist Review, The Café Review, Eunoia Review, Stoneboat Literary Journal, A Book of Matches, Riddled with Arrows, and Outlook Springs. He is an editor for Smoky Quartz journal, and he hosts the Poetry at The Root open mic in Temple, NH. He teaches poetry online through his website The Poetry Place.

As always, please do not hesitate to bring a poem or three to share at the open mic. Your covered container of non-alcoholic beverage is allowed by the library.  Your published works are welcomed to be sold by you, at the back table – remember to bring change for the cash sales.

If you would like to be the Featured Poet at a Poetry Nashua First Tuesday gathering or have a  suggestion for a celebrity Guest Poet who is willing without pay to participate with Poetry Nashua, please provide the poet’s name and contact information.
