Join Poetry Society of New Hampshire as we explore Poems to Read While the World Burns:

Poems To Read While The World Burns is a brief workshop exploring several poems that discuss the end times, the apocalypse, or the collapse of society as we know it. Reading and writing poems is how people survive what feels like some of the most hopeless of times. When people face the mortality of the world around them it brings a perspective of what is the most important. While exploring the dark themes and moments in these poems, remember to seek out the hope involved. Remember, the key to finding hope in surviving the end of the world is to look at the surviving.

Luka “at/om” Erausquin (he/they) is a poet and writer from New Hampshire. He is a transgender, mentally ill, poet in his early thirties who, like many, has a dream of being a full-time artist. He began writing as a child when he realized he had more to say than any person was willing to listen to. He was always a person with a big heart and a passion for making other people feel. Luka is a firm believer that the spoken and written word is one of the most powerful tools we have to change the world, and believes that by sharing it we can all do exactly that.
