Please join us at our next gathering for Poetry Nashua on Tuesday, July 2, at 6PM at the Nashua Public Library when Jack Casey will be the featured poet.
An open mic will follow Jack’s reading.  Please bring a poem or two to share.  The library allows us to bring  a covered container non-alcoholic beverage.  We usually offer a few snacks.  Your published works are welcomed to be sold by you – remember to bring change for the cash sales.  Following the evening’s poetry, we sometimes stroll down to Main Street for food, beverage and comraderie.
Jack is a child of Eisenhower from the steel mills of Pennsylvania who came to NH in 1989 by way of the US Navy.  Jack’s love of poetry started long ago and continues to today, where he performs monthly at Nashua Poetry.  Jack’s influences are Yeats, Coleridge, Elliot, Poe, The Fireside Theatre, Dylan, Morrison, Springsteen, Tom Waits, The Talking Heads, and more.  Jack believes in the power of art to effect change and has had various poems published here and there, but performing is what interests Jack the most.  Jack’s collected works entitled “The Navigation Acts” is almost publication ready.  Jack lives in Hampton, NH with Linda, their wife of 40 years, and two cats, Maggie and Biggs.
