in celebration of the town’s 400th Anniversary (est. 1623.)
Visit the library lawn for a poetry reading with Rye native Elaine Sexton. Her latest collection of poems is entitled Drive. Her three previous books of poetry are: Sleuth, Causeway, and Prospect/Refuge. Her poems, art reviews, book reviews, and works in visual art have appeared in journals and anthologies, textbooks and websites including American Poetry Review, Art in America, Poetry, O! the Oprah Magazine, and Poetry Daily. She teaches poetry at Sarah Lawrence College in addition to her private workshops in her studio and online. Elaine invites you to share one of your poems!
