At a farm on Eagle Pond, in Wilmot, New Hampshire, celebrated poets Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon shared a writing life–and still there, in the house and barn and land, is what informed their days and their work.

At Eagle Pond, Inc. will be participating  in NH Gives, a statewide online day of giving that supports New Hampshire nonprofits, and we hope you will be cheering for them.

How does it work? Between 5 p.m. on June 6 and 5 p.m. on June 7, supporters can visit https://www.nhgives.org/organizations/at-eagle-pond-inc, read their story, and make a contribution during 24 hours of camaraderie and just a little competitiveness. There are also substantial incentives (prizes!!) for nonprofits–with categories including most online donors, best new participant, first donation after 5 p.m. on June 6, first donation at 6:03 a.m. on June 7, last donation at 5 p.m. on June 7, and most dollars raised by nonprofits of varying budgets in designated regions around the state.

How can you help? In addition to considering a donation, please reach out to your friends and family (by email, social media, or old-fashioned phonecalls) and encourage them to contribute. Ask them to share this information with their friends and family, too. This single day of giving is successful because of the multiplying effect of everyone’s own networks.

Next week is At Eagle Pond, Inc.’s first time being part of NH Gives, and they would love to see 100 donors contribute to this effort to keep the lights on at the farm, further the good purposes of At Eagle Pond, Inc., and make it possible for what’s well begun to continue.

Questions? Email is at.eagle.pond@gmail.com and their website is www.ateaglepond.org, where you can find our newsletters, too.

With thanks in advance for your generosity–and for your skills in persuasion, which may also bring us a prize!
