Poetry Nashua: Share poems and discuss poetry on the first Tuesday of each month in the activity room on the lower level of the Nashua Public Library. Poets of all levels and ages are welcome!
On Tuesday, October 3 poet Jeeni Criscenzo will be a featured reader. Jeeni’s reading will be followed by an Open Mic.
Jeeni Criscenzo’s poetry appeared in California Quarterly, San Diego Poetry Annual, Extreme: Anthology for Social & Environmental Justice, and Sunshine/Noir II. She was a San Diego Free Press columnist for several years. Her novel, Place of Mirrors, was published in 1996. She was a 2006 CA Dist 49 Congressional candidate, was awarded KPBS 2016 Local Hero for Women’s History Month. In San Diego, she was an avid gardener. She co-founded Women Occupy San Diego and Amikas, a non-profit that houses women and children. Since retiring to New Hampshire with her husband, she sews sustainable goods that she sells on byJeeni.com
Poets may bring published materials to be available for sale after the poetry readings each month. You can display at the back table, talk with folks, and sell the published works for cash.
The library allows covered beverages. Please feel free to bring your covered beverage, and a snack to share, at our gatherings.
