The Poetry Society of New Hampshire is back at Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord from 4:30 – 6pm as we step back into verse with a poetry open mic. Our headliner for July is Portsmouth poet Sam DeFlitch. Bring your favorite poem to read, or something you’ve been working on, or come with appreciative ears to listen! Tell a friend, as we seek to regrow our poetry community in New Hampshire.

Sam’s Bio: Sam DeFlitch is the author of Confluence (Broadstone Books, 2021). A National Poetry Series finalist, her work has appeared in The Missouri Review, Colorado Review, Iron Horse Literary Review, and Appalachian Review, among others. She is recipient of awards and fellowships from the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, The Massachusetts Poetry Festival, and the University of New Hampshire, where she completed her MFA. She has taught writing courses at the University of New Hampshire, Great Bay Community College, and the Arts + Literature Lab, and is a Reviews Editor at EcoTheo.
