Join PSNH on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 for Brian Evans-Jones: Poetry in the Mirror
This workshop will explore the possibilities of mirrors in our lives and poems. Mirrors and poems have much in common, being both human-made objects that can show us truths about ourselves and the world, or let us look at things slantwise—maybe even into our blind spots. They invite us to explore who we are, what it means to be a person, and how we perceive. But how much should we trust what we see in them?
Mirrors have been a subject of fascination for poets from Lorca to Plath, Charles Simic to Rita Dove. In this workshop we’ll dig into what mirrors mean for you, to create your own mirror poem.
